A Miami elementary school teacher [Frederick Mena] was arrested late Friday for allegedly attacking a student during class by deeply digging his nails into her hand and leg ... Teacher Arrested For Allegedly Attacking Student

According to our news partners at the Miami Herald , 25-year-old Frederick Mena from Silver Bluff Elementary faces charges of aggravated child abuse inflicting great bodily harm. They report Mena deeply dug his nails into a girl’s hand and leg during class. Miami Dade Schools Police arrested him soon after the alleged incident on March 5th. The paper reports Mena wrote a letter admitting to the attack while he was quizzing the girl with flash cards.
