    DETAILS: The defendant is a temporary teacher at Seminole Heights Elementary. The victim is an autistic five year old student at the same school. The suspect became upset with the victim because he was not listening. The suspect grabbed the victim by the straps on his backpack, dragged him and forced him to sit in the chair. The victim threw his shoe at the suspect. The suspect took the victim’s shoe and used it to grind against the victim’s face.

    On 10/10/12, the defendant was arrested at her home without incident.

    A temporary teacher at Seminole Heights Elementary School has been charged with child abuse for rubbing a shoe on the face of an autistic student, Tampa police said. Esraa Mohamed Soliman, 37, is charged with child abuse. She was arrested at her home in Tampa on Wednesday. But Soliman said on Thursday that the account by police and school officials is one-sided and she has hired a lawyer.

    Police say Soliman became upset Tuesday afternoon when the 5-year-old student was not listening at school. She grabbed the boy by the straps on his backpack, dragged him and forced him to sit in a chair. The boy threw one of his shoes at her, and Soliman took the shoe and ground it against the student's face, police said.

    A temporary teacher at a Florida grade school was arrested after allegedly losing her temper and grinding a shoe into a 5-year-old autistic boy’s face. Esraa Mohamed Soliman, 37, was arrested Wednesday at her Tampa home and charged with child abuse, Tampa Bay Online reported. She will also likely lose her job, school officials said. She was teaching at Seminole Heights Elementary School on Tuesday afternoon when she got upset at the boy for not listening to her, cops said.
