    Editorial: Make critiques of CCPS abuse policy publicly available

    Carroll County Public Schools officials likely welcomed news that the preliminary report from an independent investigator showed its policies and procedures are as good or better than other school systems in Maryland when it comes to addressing child abuse and sexual assault. Board of Education members requested an investigation of school system policies and announced it had retained an independent investigator after then-West Middle School teacher Kenneth Fischer was charged with four counts of solicitation of a minor in Virginia in September.
