    Jefferson Parish guard arrested after letting inmates fight, report says


    A Jefferson Parish jail guard was arrested after being accused of opening doors of several cells at the Correctional Center in Gretna and letting inmates fight, according to a report from Nola.com | The Times-Picayune. Dylan Smith, 45, of New Orleans was booked on Thursday (April 4) with malfeasance in office. The brawl happened around 11:30 p.m. on March 31 in an administrative segregation housing area at the jail located in the 100 block of Dolhonde St., the report said.
