    Dominic L. Madison, a teacher at Treasure Coast High School, was arrested Friday night. He faces 39 counts of sexual activity with minors and one count of using a child in a sexual performance ... [St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken J.] Mascara said the charges involve two girls under the age of 18, adding that Madison's crimes were reported to police on Thursday night, and the investigation is still ongoing ... Authorities said the sexual performance charge relates to a sexual encounter recorded by Madison and stored on one of his computers, Mascara said. Detectives seized several of Madison's computers and storage devices, which are being examined for additional evidence. Detectives also arrested Madison's girlfriend, Janifer Thomas, 35, on Friday. She has been charged with being an accessory after the fact and failure to notify law enforcement of knowledge of a suspect of child abuse.

    The director of the Treasure Coast High School marching band is facing 39 charges of sexual activity with minors and his girlfriend, a band instructor at Manatee Academy K-8, is charged with being an accessory after the fact, officials said Saturday. “Friday night, we arrested Dominic L. Madison, a teacher at Treasure Coast High School,” Sheriff Ken J. Mascara said in a prepared release. “He faces 39 charges of sexual activity with minors and one count of using a child in a sexual performance. He is being held at the St. Lucie County jail under $1,535,000 bond.” ... A spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office said the charges against Madison involve two female victims, both 17. He would not divulge how the alleged incidents were brought to the attention of the Sheriff’s Office, other than to say someone who is not a parent and is not connected with the school system called investigators.

"Friday night, we arrested Dominic L. Madison, a teacher at Treasure Coast High School," said St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken Mascara. "He faces 39 charges of sexual activity with minors and one count of using a child in a sexual performance." Thomas, who is described as Madison's girlfriend, is the band teacher at Manatee Academy. She is charged as an accessory after the fact and failure to notify authorities of suspected child abuse.

  2. I FEEL BAD FOR THE FAMILIES WE SEND OUR CHILDREN TO BE TAUGHT NOT SEXUAL ABUSED IN PRAYING FOR ALL FAMILIES IN DISAPPOINTED HE WAS BORN A GOOD PERSON BUT CHOSE A TERRIBLE PATH.

    God's peace, comfort, and my condolences to the families that have been affected by this tragic event. Dominic L. Madison was my high school band director and one of the most talented, dedicated musicians and caring people I've ever met. God bless him and his family.
