Cops get HC rap for delay in arresting two in kid's rape case The Bombay high court on Wednesday slammed the Mumbai police over the "shocking" delay in arresting two persons accused of raping a three-year-old child and directed two top officers to supervise the investigation. A division bench of Justice Ranjit More and Justice Shalini Phansalkar Joshi directed an officer of the rank of assistant commissioner of police to head the investigation and deputy commissioner of police (zone X), Navinchandra Reddy, to supervise and file an action-taken report by November 8.
