    My name is Chris Grote. I am in my eighth year as CPS Principal. I came to the Cambridge-Isanti School District as a student teacher 22 years ago. I received my BS in elementary education from St. Cloud State University, my master’s degree, and administrative licensure from St. Mary’s University. I have taught grades 2, 3, and 4 for the Cambridge-Isanti Schools. I have also coached multiple sports at all levels for the Cambridge-Isanti and Braham Schools. I am very fortunate to be a part of this great district and especially the CPS Team.​

    Cambridge Primary School principal arrested

    The current principal at Cambridge Primary School in Cambridge, Minn. was arrested early Sunday morning for stalking, disorderly conduct, public nuisance and fleeing a police officer. According to the Isanti County jail roster, Chris Grote, 47, is in custody after being booked at 3:49 a.m.

    Authorities: Cambridge Principal Arrested For Stalking, Fleeing Peace Officer

    Christopher Grote, the principal at Cambridge Primary School in Cambridge, was booked on suspicion of disorderly conduct, public nuisance, stalking and fleeing a peace officer, according to Isanti County Jail records ... The case is currently under investigation by the Isanti County Sheriff’s Office and will be referred to the Isanti County Attorney’s Office on Monday morning to consider formal charges.

    Cambridge School Principal Arrested for Stalking, Fleeing Police

    Christopher Grote was booked into Isanti County Jail at 3:39 a.m. Cambridge-Isanti Public Schools confirmed the 47-year-old is the principal of Cambridge Primary School. No information about events leading to Grote's arrest have been released.

    Cambridge Principal Accused Of Stalking Appears In Court, Bail Set

    Authorities say a night of drinking, texting and then stalking an ex-girlfriend landed Christopher Grote in jail Sunday. He allegedly called her repeatedly and then showed up at her home. When police arrived, he fled into the woods. He was eventually arrested. It was the second time police dealt with Grote under similar circumstances.
