    British police officers arrested 188 people in a single week over allegations of online child sex abuse — and say that livestreaming platforms are becoming the platform of choice for sex offenders. Officers reported the spike in arrests after a week of "intensification" which saw forces across the UK swoop on suspects they had been monitoring.     Cops arrest 200 suspected paedophiles in one week in major internet crackdown

    The National Crime Agency said a UK-wide operation in October had saved 245 children from harm and 192 people were detained. Eighteen of those held were said to be in a position of trust, working in areas such as teaching, healthcare and criminal justice. Police believe dangerous suspects are using live streaming to try to manipulate victims into nudity on a webcam.
