    Antioch police officers forced their way into a middle school teacher’s home, punched him in the head and gave him a concussion, according to a lawsuit the man filed Monday. Miguel Minjares, 45, of Antioch, said police assaulted him after showing up at his home during a dispute he was having with his 18-year-old daughter on Sept. 26, 2019. He said police wrongfully accused him of assaulting his daughter and threw him on a couch, put their knees on his back and punched him in front of his youngest daughter, aged 11, who videoed the incident.     ‘Leave my dad alone’: Hayward teacher sues Antioch officers who punched him during videotaped arrest, DA declined to charge him

    A Hayward middle school teacher has filed a federal lawsuit against the Antioch Police Department, alleging he suffered a concussion and other injuries after officers “placed their knees into his back and punched him in the head several times,” court records show. In social media posts, Antioch resident Miguel Minjares, said officers hit him in his face and head “at least 20 times” while arresting him at his home on suspicion of resisting arrest.
