    Second ex-Santa Clara cop charged in eBay cyberstalking case


    A federal cyberstalking case involving a cadre of eBay Inc. employees widened this week to include a second former Santa Clara police captain. Philip Cooke, who supervised security operations at the company’s European and Asian offices, is charged with conspiracy to commit cyberstalking and conspiracy to tamper with a witness. Cooke, along with ex-SCPD captain Brian Gilbert and five others, allegedly harassed a Natick, Mass., husband and wife with anonymous threats and deliveries including a bloody Halloween pig mask and a book on surviving the loss of a spouse.
