    Bill requires school districts to notify parents when teachers are arrested

    Local parents are speaking out in support of a bill that would require schools to notify parents when teachers are arrested. State lawmakers discussed the bill for several hours Thursday. You may be surprised to learn there is no state law that says school districts have to tell you if your child's teacher is arrested. Some school districts have certain policies in place, but there is no rule across the board.
