    Court records obtained by Action 4 News show that Gutierrez is accused of staying in touch with a 14-year-old former student. Gutierrez allegedly wrote the girl love letters and gave her money, two rings, DVDs and two cell phones so could stay in touch. The two reportedly kissed and intimate contact but reportedly did not have sexual intercourse. The girl told deputies that Gutierrez planned to divorce his wife and marry her when she turned 18 years old. In a love letter seized as evidence, Gutierrez allegedly told the the girl that she was his "soul mate" and his "first true love."
    According to the court records, the two reportedly had secret encounters once the family attended a party and once when they went shopping at a local WalMart. Gutierrez allegedly gave the teen four tickets to Schlitterbahn on South Padre Island for her and her family but she told them she won them in a raffle.

    Brownsville Herald: BISD teacher accused of relationship with student (Sept 27 2013)

    Authorities said a Brownsville science teacher and volleyball coach [Aristeo Gutierrez] had an improper relationship with a student that included love letters, gifts and eventually sexual contact ... The Besteiro Middle School teacher is accused of starting the relationship with a 14-year-old girl while she was in eighth grade. Reyna says the relationship became sexual in May.
