Amanda Jo Hammon, of 5424 Tangerine Drive, was taken into custody Wednesday, after she allegedly stole $1,700 worth of goods from a Wesley Chapel Walmart using a child, four days in a row, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office said. According to several reports, the 30-year-old teacher used the child to shoplift electronic devices, including speakers, from the store and hid the merchandise in a pink container the tot carried on one occasion, and on three other days she tucked the stolen items into a backpack the child carried.

Florida teacher uses 3-year-old daughter to steal $1,700 in goods from Walmart: cops

Pasco County officials arrested Amanda Jo Hammon Thursday after she allegedly stole $1,700 worth of goods by stuffing the contraband in her 3-year-old daughter's pink backpack and then making the tot walk out of the store ... Tipped off my Walmart surveillance, sheriffs tracked her down a day later and arrested her alongside her boyfriend, Jason Dorman. Investigators said the couple stole from the Walmart four times. In each shoplifting stint, the two slipped electronics, including speakers, into the toddler's backpack, put the bag back on the child and then walked her out the front door.

MUG SHOT Florida teacher uses three-year old to shoplift items she can sell for drug money

Amanda Jo Hammon used her three-year old daughter as a mule for stolen Wal-Mart products. According to local police, Hammon and her boyfriend Jason would slip electronics and other items into the child’s backpack, and then lead her out of the store. Hammon stole approximately $1,700 worth of goods in four separate instances, all of them at the same Wal-Mart. She confessed to police that she intended to use the money to buy drugs.
