Deputy: Ex-officer charged with owning pornography images

A former Alabama police officer was arrested on child pornography charges, authorities said. Former Bridgeport Police Officer Geoffrey Gile Booth, 48, turned himself in on Thursday to face two counts of possessing pornography involving a person under 17 years old, news outlets reported. Jackson County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Rocky Harnen said an investigation into Booth began on March 9, when deputies responded to a call involving him and his wife.
