GUILTY July 2, 2015 Former Yucaipa High School teacher Sheila Heacock was sentenced on July 1 to five years probation with 270 days county jail time at San Bernardino Superior Court as a result of being convicted of having sexual intercourse with a 16 year-old student. Heacock was initially charged and arrested on April 18, 2014. She was bailed out a day later and will receive a one-day credit for time served. Heacock, who taught Spanish at YHS for three years, pled not guilty to six felony counts of sexual abuse on June 19, 2014, at the San Bernardino Superior Court. In a plea bargain on May 6, 2015, Heacock plead guilty to one of the six charges and the other five charges were dismissed.
