    WSAZ: UPDATE: Substitute Teacher Arrested on Sex Abuse Charges; Name Released (Feb 22 2013)

    According to the criminal complaint, [James Paul ] Hadinger was a substitute teacher at Hannan Junior Senior High School and became involved with the female, underage student during the last several weeks. On Feb. 12, investigators say Hadinger met the student at a grocery store and the two went to a basketball game together. Deputies say after they left the game, Hadinger and the girl drove to an abandoned house along Ball Chapel Road in Ashton where he allegedly engaged in sexual conduct with her. According to neighbors, Hadinger was also a preacher at Faith Gospel Church in Gallipolis Ferry. He led several youth groups at the church.

    West Virginia Gazette: Substitute teacher charged in sexual abuse of student (Feb 22 2013)

    Hadinger became involved with a female student while substituting at Hannan Junior/Senior High School in Ashton this month, according to a criminal complaint filed in Mason County Magistrate Court. The girl told deputies Hadinger picked her up at a grocery store last week and took her to a high school basketball game. They left the game early and Hadinger allegedly drove to an abandoned house on Ball Chapel Road in Ashton. Hadinger then kissed and sexually abused the girl there, according to the criminal complaint. Hadinger signed a written confession, according to the complaint.

    James Hadinger, 43, of Gallipolis Ferry was charged with two counts of child abuse. Deputies said the suspect was a substitute teacher at Hannan Junior High and Hannan High School and became involved with a student over several weeks, according to a criminal complaint filed in Mason Magistrate Court.

    A substitute teacher and pastor in Mason County is charged with two counts of sexual abuse. James Paul Hadinger, 44, of Gallipolis Ferry, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 21. He was charged with two counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian or person in a position of trust to a child. Hadinger is accused of sexually abusing an underage girl from an area junior and senior high school. According to police, Hadinger took the victim to an abandoned building late one night earlier in the month, where the alleged abuse happened. Hadinger was also a preacher at Faith Gospel Church in Gallipolis Ferry, and led several youth groups at the church.

    Pomeroy Daily Sentinel: Bond set at $200k for substitute teacher (Feb 24 2013)

    James P. Hadinger, 43, Gallipolis Ferry, was arrested and charged Thursday after an investigation by the Mason County Sheriff’s Department. Hadinger appeared before Mason County Magistrate Gail Roush, also on Thursday, who set his bond at $200,000 — $100,000 for each count. He was then transported to the Western Regional Jail where, as of press time Friday, he remained.
