Madison Female Teacher Accused of Sexual Assault Pleads Not Guilty

According to an arrest warrant, obtained by NBC Connecticut, Marchese allegedly sent half-naked photos of herself to two Madison teens. She also allegedly performed oral sex on a 17-year-old high school student while in a classroom, NBC Connecticut reports.

According to documents, Marchese developed an ‘electronic relationship’ with a 15-year-old student during the 2013-14 school year. She allegedly told the boy that he was so good lucking that she couldn’t concentrate during class or sleep at night, NBC reports. The boy told her to stop and she allegedly told him she was broken-hearted.

Marchese then allegedly turned her sights on a 17-year-old and sent him inappropriate messages on Instagram, and allegedly performed oral sex on the student in a classroom, the arrest warrant alleges. The 17-year-old asked her for $200 to keep his silence and Marchese allegedly stated she had friends in the mafia who could ensure he never plays football again, NBC Connecticut reports.​

A Madison high school teacher pleaded not guilty Tuesday morning to charges that she sexually assaulted a student. Allison Marchese, 37, was also ordered to turn over her passport and avoid contact with two minors involved in the case during a hearing at New Haven Superior Court, where she appeared with her attorney, William F. Dow. Marchese, a teacher at Daniel Hand High School, was arrested Feb. 12 and charged with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury or impairing the morals of a child. She remains free after posting $100,000 bail.

In court Tuesday, it was revealed that in addition to the inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old, Marchese sent photos to the student over the social media app Instagram. The photos were of her in her underwear. The student told investigators that Marchese was his teacher and they had started messaging back and forth. Police said many of the conversations were sexual in nature. An affidavit said that Marchese wrote to the student that she could not concentrate in class because "he was so good looking" and that she "could not sleep at night because she was thinking of him."

Another victim, a 17-year-old, said he knew Marchese from a summer football conditioning workouts, which she supervised. He also said he saw her at a middle school fitness center. He stated that she was flirty with all of the guys. In late September to October, the 17-year-old got a call from her to go over a yearbook quote. The two also started messaging each other. After Thanksgiving, the 17-year-old said the messages started getting "weird" with sexual hints. In December before winter break, Marchese allegedly messaged the 17-year-old to come to her room where they started kissing. She reportedly locked the door and closed the blinds before giving him oral sex. The affidavit said the 17-year-old messaged her afterward and told her that he was freaking out about it. He said he wanted $200 from her to keep quiet. He also wanted her to stay away.

However, Marchese told the 15-year-old victim that the 17-year-old was trying to blackmail her and that her father had "mafia connections." She said her father would "tell his boys in New York" and that the 17-year-old would never play football again.​

According to the warrant, Marchese told one student he was so good looking she couldn’t concentrate in class and had trouble sleeping at night thinking about him. In another incident, she allegedly called a student into her classroom, performing sexual acts with him during school hours that would lead to an attempt at blackmail. And on at least one occasion, she allegedly sent provocative photos, in which she wearing only thong underwear, to the teens.

The police investigation uncovered an “extensive history of electronic communication” between Marchese and the two victims, a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old, many of which contained messages that police described as “sexual in nature,” according to the warrant.

According to the warrant, the 17-year-old student told police that Marchese performed oral sex on him during the fourth period of a school day in December 2014. During that episode, the victim said the two kissed — an act he told police he believed was initiated by the teacher — before things went further. She then proceeded to lock the classroom door and close the blinds before performing the sex act, according to the warrant.

After the incident, the teen became uncomfortable with what happened, and he consulted with his brother, who advised him to “step back” from the situation. The teen decided to attempt to blackmail Marchese, requesting $200, according to the warrant. The 17-year-old victim allegedly said Marchese attempted to tell another student, a friend of one of the victims, that he was blackmailing her for money for a mistake she had made.

The warrant also said that Marchese attempted to tell the 15-year-old victim that the “mistake” was the interaction she had with him, though the 15-year-old told police he knew this was a reference to her actions with the older student.​
