Waleska Velasquez, 29, has been charged with three counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor. Police say Velasquez and the then 16 year old male student had sex three times from August of 2009 until 2010. Velazquez is accused of also sending the now 17 year old victim handwritten letters, photos of herself in lingerie and nude photos to his cell phone. She also allegedly gave the student lavish gifts and cash.

NBC Miami reports the student in question was taught by Velasquez, though there's no indication yet the student was in a special diploma program. She first met the student in 2009 and continued the relationship until 2010.

A special education teacher has allegedly confessed to an affair with a 16-year-old student and having sex with him at their school. Waleska Velasquez, from Miami, also told police she sent the teen nude photos of herself and others posing in sexy lingerie. The 29-year-old is also alleged to have bombarded the boy with gifts, including cash and a cell phone during the course of their year-long affair. Police also said they recovered romantic letters which she had written to the boy soon after the affair began in 2009. Investigators said she admitted to having sex with the boy, now aged 17, on three occasions, including at their school in Miami,Florida and the parking lot of a Middle School.
