A high school teacher in Corona was charged on Tuesday with 16 felony counts for alleged sex crimes involving five underage boys ... None of her alleged victims were her students, but all were students at Centennial High and all were under the age of 18 when the alleged crimes occurred, prosecutors said. The crimes allegedly took place in Hansen’s classroom, in a utility room at the school, in her vehicle and at one alleged victim’s home.​

The alleged crimes involve five underage boys -- all were students at the school, but none were Hansen's students, according to district attorney's spokesman John Hall. "The crimes are alleged to have taken place from May 2012 through May 2013, and took place in her classroom, in a utility room at the school, in her vehicle while parked near one victim's home, and at another victim's home,'' Hall said. In mid-June, the Corona Norco Unified School District notified the Corona Police Department about a possible "inappropriate relationship'' between Hansen and a former student at the high school where Hansen taught.​

 

LAist: Special Ed Teacher Accused Of Offering Sex As A 'Prize' To Underage Students (Aug 14 2013)

None of the students involved were her special education students, but she is accused of having intercourse with students on- and off-campus. The alleged encounters happened between May 2012 and May 2013 in her classroom, in a utility room, in her car while parked in front of a boy's home and in one boy's home. ​

• One 17-year-old student said that Hansen offered up sex as a "prize" for doing well in baseball game, and they had intercourse during a special Saturday session of classes.
• That wasn't the only boy that she allegedly offered up sex to make him feel unique: another boy said he had intercourse at school, and Hansen made a point of telling him that he was the only person she was having sex with.
• A third boy was contacted by Hansen at a school function, and they began texting and calling each other. They had sexual intercourse in her classroom after school.

Another student who was 18 and had graduated said Hansen sent him sexual text messages and photos of her in her underwear. This student claims that two other boys told him that they were having sex with Hansen.​

Summer Michelle Hansen was charged Tuesday with 16 felony counts involving sex acts with five teenagers younger than 18, none of whom were students in her life skills class. Riverside County prosecutors allege that from May 2012 to May 2013, Hansen committed sexual acts with the teenagers -- who were as young as 16 -- in her classroom, in a campus utility room, in her vehicle parked near a teenager's home and at the home of another teen.​

An arraignment for a Corona high school teacher accused of sex-related crimes involving five underage students was continued on Thursday ... A new court date for Hansen was set for Sept. 12 at 8:30 a.m.​
