Schalk said Brockman was in the Corydon McDonald's using his laptop around 3 a.m. on November 14 when he fell asleep. "One of the officers saw what they thought was child pornography on his computer another officer who was there verified that as well," said Schalk. That discovery led to a search warrant and investigators were able to obtain Brockman's laptop where Schalk said hundreds of disturbing photos were found. "They're girls ranging from 2 years of age to 13, all sexually suggestive and genitals exposed," said Schalk.

News and Tribune said:

Brockman is well known throughout Southern Indiana for taking photographs at middle and high school sporting events and selling the photo prints to parents ... According to a probable-cause affidavit, Harrison County Police Department Officer Nicholas Smith was walking through a McDonald’s restaurant Nov. 14 in Corydon when he observed Brockman asleep in an upright position behind a table. There was a laptop computer in front of him. When the officer walked behind Brockman, he observed multiple pictures of nude children who appeared to be between the ages of 5 and 10 on the computer screen. Brockman consented to a warantless search of his computer, which was taken into evidence. An investigation by the Indiana State Police revealed “hundreds of images of child erotica,” according to court records. There was at least one image that depicted sexual conduct by a child.

Brockman began subbing in February 2007, the letter said. He was dismissed after negative evaluations at eight schools, the letter said. This included making a “female teacher uncomfortable” at Fairdale High School in March 2008 and two students being injured “due to lack of classroom control” at Byck Elementary School in September 2008, the letter said.
