    Sheriff urges parents to monitor children's online, cell activities

    One day after a Cobleskill-Richmondville physical education teacher was charged with sexually victimizing an underage girl enrolled at the high school, Schoharie County Sheriff Tony Desmond urged parents to stay on top of their children’s online and cell phone communications. “They have to pay attention to what their kids are doing online,” Desmond told The Daily Star. “They need to know who they’re corresponding with and what sites they’re looking at.” Desmond acknowledged there are indications from the ongoing investigation that 25-year-old Aaron Christman, the now suspended teacher, had engaged in online conversation with the girl, though he did not ...
