Thanks for the update: A former Shelby County teacher accused of having sexual contact with two students was sentenced Monday morning in court. Shannon Hirchert, 42, was arrested in 2011 and resigned from her job, but is now skipping jail time Hirchert accepted a plea agreement in May. On Monday, she was sentenced to seven years of probation with a number of stipulations. "They were not lengthy relationships, but, obviously, they were inappropriate," said Hichert's lawyer, Brian Butler.
