    Teachers could face tougher punishment for sexual contact with students

    Teachers, coaches or other school employees could face longer time in prison if they have sexual contact with students. Since the 2014-15 school year started, Channel 9 has reported several teachers accused of sex crimes with kids. For example, in January, police arrested Iredell High School English teacher, Julianna Mills. Officers said they found the 37-year-old with a male student in a car on a dead end road. In November, Rowan County deputies arrested teacher Matthew Belk on 21 sex charges. Belk was accused of having contact with two teen students for more than a year and a half. David ...
