    Former student sues ex-teacher, others over sex scandal at Memorial HS

    A former Memorial High School student has filed a federal lawsuit in connection with a sex scandal that involved one of her teachers and a district police officer. In addition to Memorial High School itself, the defendants include the Edgewood Independent School District, the Edgewood Police Department, former chemistry teacher Marcus Revilla and former district police officer Manuel Hernandez. who is now 19, while she attended Memorial. The girl got pregnant in December 2014 or January 2015, the lawsuit said. DNA testing revealed that Revilla was the child's father.     Student impregnated by former teacher sues San Antonio school district

    A former Edgewood Independent School District student is suing the district nearly three years after she became pregnant with the child of a Memorial High School teacher. Marcus Revilla was the student's teacher and admitted to investigators that he had an ongoing relationship with the girl, who was 15-years-old at the time. He was arrested in March of 2014 after she became pregnant with Revilla's child. He resigned and was later sentenced to 17 years in federal prison.
