KAJO: Gymnastics Coach Arraigned on 30 Child Porn Charges (Nov 6 2012) Jeffery Scott Bettman, a local gymnastics coach and sports photographer, was arraigned in Jackson County Circuit Court yesterday on 30 child pornography charges for allegedly taking pictures of students while they were changing during private photo sessions at as many as three gyms over the past nine years. Bettman coached at Ultimate Sports Gymnastics in Grants Pass, the Southern Oregon Gymnastics Academy, and the former Rogue Valley School of Gymnastics. Detective Josh Nieminen, of the Southern Oregon High Tech Crimes Task Force said the photographs seized from Bettman’s computer Friday during a search of his home just outside Medford appeared to be child pornography photos of gymnasts changing without their consent or knowledge.
