Houston man arrested sex with 16-year-old 'wife'

The marriage may be legal but the suspected premarital sex was not, authorities said on Saturday after arresting a 41-year-old Houston-area drama teacher for the alleged sexual assault of a child, his 16-year-old wife.


Ilich Guardiola, who also works as a voice actor in Japanese animations, was pulled over in a traffic stop in the Houston suburb of Spring Valley last month and later questioned about his relationship with the teen riding with him, police said.​

Drama teacher marries underage student in Vegas

41-year-old Ilich Auyapah Guardiola is charged with sexual assault of a child after investigators say there is evidence the two had a sexual relationship prior to the marriage. A search of Guardiola’s phone revealed numerous texts from the student, including one that said “I love having sex with you.”


Even though the two are now married, Texas law prohibits sex with anyone under the age of 17, even with the child’s consent. ​

Former student of drama teacher arrested for sexual assault there was ‘constant flirting’

Chelsi Jump and her mom Brandi Wright say they knew a drama teacher had gotten out of line at the Houston Family Arts Center long before he was arrested for having sex with an underage girl. There was just constant flirting with him and all of his students, said Jump. It was always a weird relationship from the beginning.

Jump says she was one of Ilich Guardiola's students at HFAC and that she was just 17 when he started coming on to her through text messages. There was one where he was laying in bed with no shirt on, and he said, 'What up my Houston [expletive]', added Jump.​
