    Stabbing suspect teacher faces fresh charges

    Combined School teacher Fransina Mwetufa (27), who was on Monday charged with reckless or negligent driving and attempted murder, is now facing charges of fraudulently acquiring a Polo Vivo. She appeared in the Oshakati Magistrate's Court on Wednesday morning on fraud and uttering, and theft under false pretences charges. This time, Mwetufa is accused of fraudulently rebuying a Polo Vivo from a man in the north.     Woman faces attempted murder charge

    A teacher at the Limbandungila Combined School in the Ohangwena region was yesterday remanded in custody after she allegedly attempted to kill her friend and colleague on Friday last week. Fransina Mwetufa (27) made her first court appearance in the Eenhana Magistrate’s Court and her case was remanded to 6 April 2021 for a formal bail hearing. Mwetufa is facing charges of attempted murder, negligent and reckless driving.     A teacher from Limbadungila Combined School in the Ohakafiya circuit, Ohangwena Region, has been accused of allegedly stabbing a colleague she offered to take out for lunch. Ohangwena police spokesperson sergeant Andrew Nghiyolwa confirmed the incident to Namibian Sun on Monday, but said the cause of the attack is not yet known as they have yet to interview the victim, 24-year-old Ndapewa Indongo. Namibian Sun has learnt that the suspect – 27-year-old Fransina Mwetufa - appeared in the Eenhana Magistrate’s Court yesterday, and her case was postponed to a yet-to-be-announced date.
