-- A first-grade teacher from Delaware County has been charged with 500 counts of possession of child pornography. Charged is David Devine, 34, of Media, a teacher at Penn Wood Elementary School in West Chester ... He is also the director of Camp Flying Hawk, a local day camp. He taught second and fifth graders who came to his home on Fridays. On his web page, he says in part, "his mission is to create a one of a kind summer experience for your child." "As we understand it, he controlled, owned and served as director. So there may be no one else associated with the camp," said District Attorney Mike Green. Devine also bills himself as a massage therapist for children.

David Devine admitted that on August 17, 2009, he distributed, over the Internet, videos that depicted children being sexually abused, and, on August 10, he possessed in excess of 600 images of child pornography.

A former Chester County first-grade teacher and camp director charged with having pornographic pictures of children on his computer has pleaded guilty, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced Monday. David Devine, 35, now of Chester Heights, admitted that he sent videos of children being sexually abused over the Internet. He had more than 600 images on his computer, according to officials. Sentencing will be later.
