    Buffalo woman left paralyzed in police car crash files lawsuit

    Chelsea Ellis was walking with a friend on a sidewalk along Main Street on the afternoon of April 15 when a Buffalo police vehicle crashed with another car. It bounced off the curb, hit a utility pole and struck Ellis and her friend. Ellis, who was thrown between 30 and 50 feet, was left catastrophically injured, her family and attorney said. She is now quadriplegic and needs a ventilator to breathe. "She will never walk again," her attorney, John Fromen, said. "She'll never use her arms again.
