A man’s report of being molested decades ago by a coach was followed up earlier this month by a teenager who said the same educator molested him in 2010. he Hancock County Sheriff’s Department said Bryan Turner, 53, who worked in the physical education department at Doe Creek Middle School in the Southern Hancock County school system, was arrested Monday on preliminary charges of child molestation and has since bonded out of jail.

An adult who now lives outside the district called Superintendent James M. Halik shortly before Thanksgiving to say he had personal knowledge of misconduct by Bryan Turner, 53. Fox 59 (20 Dec 2011): Details surface about Ind. teacher accused of molesting student

A Central Indiana school teacher was arrested Monday for allegedly molesting a 14-year-old male student and Fox59 learned this is not the first allegation against him. Bryan Turner, a 53-year old non-certified physical education teacher at Doe Creek Middle School in New Palestine, is out of a job. Turner is accused of molesting a 14-year-old student at school last year. A phone call about an incident nearly 30 years ago prompted an investigation into the teacher.

Fox 59 (20 Dec 2011): Details surface about Ind. teacher accused of molesting student

According to the probable cause affidavit obtained by Fox59, the student told police [Bryan] Turner was his gym teacher in October 2010. The student said during class one day, he was hit in the private area with a dodge ball. The boy, 13-years-old at the time, told police Turner took him into the boys’ locker room, shut the door and instructed him to lie on a bench. There, the boy stated Turner told him he needed to massage his groin area to “make it feel better.” Turner allegedly began rubbing the area outside the student’s shorts. The student told police he was unable to stop Turner because he was nauseated and in extreme pain.
