A Pretoria teacher has reportedly been found guilty of assaulting a Grade 6 pupil. The Pretoria Magistrate's Court found Springvale Primary School teacher Annelise Boot, 54, guilty of assault on Wednesday, according to the Pretoria News. Boot reportedly assaulted the pupil by choking, kicking and pushing her knee onto his chest while pulling his arms upwards. The assault of the 12-year-old reportedly took place in February 2020 over the alleged theft of a bottle of sparkling water, reported Times Live, after another teacher called Boot to resolve the matter.
