    Two teachers held for abetment of suicide of three Virar school students


    Two teachers of the Vagad Gurukul International School have been arrested for abetment of the suicide of three students, whose bodies were found in a river on Wednesday after they allegedly fled from the school hostel on Monday. The Virar police has booked the teachers under sections 305 (abetment of suicide of child), 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapon or means) and 34 (common intention) of the IPC.     Teachers Held Over Students’ Death

    The Thane Rural Police on Thursday arrested two teachers of a private school at Virar, around 75 km from here, for allegedly forcing three students to commit suicide. Ripusudan Shivkumar Garg, 32, and Sandeep Janya Palva, 26, of Vagad Gurukul International School were held for subjecting the students to corporal punishment. Palva is a physical training teacher. The three Class IX students, identified as Kushal Dagha, Meet Chhadwa and Prahul Patel, were found dead on Wednesday in Sukh River outside the boundary wall of the school.     Mumbai teachers held for suicide by 3 kids who were caned

    Two teachers of Vagad Gurukul International School in Virar were arrested on Thursday for abetment of suicide of three teen students who fled from the hostel on Monday and were found dead in the nearby river. Sanskrit teacher Ripusudan Garg, 35, and physical training (PT) teacher Sandeep Palva, 26 have also been charged with voluntarily causing hurt for thrashing the students and common intention.     No case against teachers for abetting suicide of students: Bombay High Court

    Six years after being booked for abetting the suicide of three minor students, the police has given a ‘clean chit’ to four teachers, including the one teaching Sanskrit in a Virar-based school. The Bombay High Court was recently informed that the police did not find any ‘incriminating’ material against the teachers, except that they had beaten up the students.
